The Performance Management & Reforms Unit (PMRU) has introduced the culture of quantified performance management and oversees implementation of sectoral reforms of the provincial government in the respective setups and created synergy between the public and development partners. Adequately resourced PMRU will ensure that the Provincial Government achieves its policy objectives and international commitments i.e. SDGs. PMRU will also ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the district governments and all provincial departments. This unit will continue supervising the reforms implementation process and start evaluating the impact of reforms. Most importantly, this unit will focus on the promotion of latest ICTs to promote the transformation towards e-governance.
This Unit would therefore, greatly contribute towards the welfare of the citizens by improving service delivery, promoting transparency, and ensuring optimal use of limited government resources
PMRU will establish an Advisory Council / Board under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, that will be consisting of experienced civil servants, and will critically evaluate all reforms initiatives in-terms of legal frameworks and implementation modalities, for the propose of long-term sustainability and effective implementation
